Wolford AW14/15 Lingerie Collection

Usually known for its high spec hosiery and classic, feminine Ready-to-Wear (RTW) pieces with timeless appeal, legwear company Wolford has shown that it’s also a strong contender when it comes to lingerie. The company’s best bits of AW14/15 went on display at London’s chic Marylebone Hotel on April 2, 2014 and amongst the collections was a beautiful array of functional but appealing underwear of which it can be quite proud.

The main theme of the lingerie collection is the enhancing of the female form and comprises several garments designed to give a svelte silhouette under any outfit.

“This A/W, the sexy lingerie collection has been refocused on shape and control,” says PR, Marketing and Social Media Manager of Wolford, London, Sidonie Goldman, regarding the alluring assortment. “Pieces are beautiful with great functionality. From control skirts to dresses, all our pieces are there to flatter and enhance the body, making the wearer feel comfortable, empowered and in control.”

Goldman expressed that Wolford is especially proud of its luxurious sheer touch shapewear product which is silky smooth to the touch with a delicate appearance but provides what she deems as “amazing” control for the wearer. Customers will have the opportunity to choose from a number of light to firm control garments which include thongs, high-waist briefs, panty shorts, forming dresses and skirts and bodies. Matching bras accompany the collection, enhancing its desirability with such key pieces.Colours supplied make daily wear possible and are inclusive of black and nudes as well as rose pink and deep cobalt blue which are great alternatives to the former shades and will, undoubtedly, enhance any wardrobe. With versatility at the heart of the collection, Wolford’s lingerie range provides a delicately crafted yet robust tier to the Wolford brand and is a pleasing accompaniment to the RTW and hosiery collections.

Pin-Up Model, SINderella Rockafella, Poses in Raine & Bea Lingerie

Raine & Bea recently teamed up with international supermodel, SINderella Rockafella for a photoshoot for the brand. Photographer, Chrissy Sparks, has captured beautiful shots of the pin-up model wearing the “Trudi” feather skirt and bralette. The 23 year old model comes from Coughton, England, and the blonde beauty is versatile in her modelling abilities.

Although SINderella Rockafella specializes in Pin-Up and alternative modelling, she also has experience in Fashion and Boudoir. Using her natural talent and experience, SINderella Rockafella has been pictured in magazines wearing the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. When the international Pin-up model posed in Raine & Bea for photographer Chrissy Sparks at Doll House Photography, it was a match made in lingerie heaven said the company.

 Founded in 2013 by Jenna Barnes, Raine & Bea has made a huge splash on the lingerie scene. In their first year, the vintage and burlesque lingerie designer has already been nominated for the 2013 UK Lingerie Awards for UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand of the Year and UK’s Favourite British Designer of the Year, which is determined by public voting.

Raine & Bea’s new campaign features SINderella Rockafella in the “Trudi” feather skirt and bralette. The lingerie designed by Raine & Bea, including those shown, are all handcrafted and hand sewn using only the highest quality silk-satins, polka-dot nettings, feathers, and Swarovski crystals. The collection features the classic shapes of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s with a fresh twist.

Designer, Jenna Barnes, has an extensive design background and also created Frockstar, a red carpet and cabaret clothing brand. With a love of the vintage, Barnes decided to branch into lingerie after working with the likes of Celine Dion costumes and discovering her love of Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl stage costumes. This led to Raine & Bea. Now that the sexy lingerie brand has paired up with SINderella Rockafella, there is certainly no telling just how far the Raine & Bea lingerie line will go.

How do you make a lingerie shoot stand out in a way that reads excitement, fun and above all allurement, without applying to the fashionable but classic recipes? Photographer Peter Coulson chose the wild road, highlighting the fabulous pieces of lingerie signed by Kisskill in an untamed editorial, photographed at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, teaming up with brunette beauties Tanya Alijani and Melody Le.

White Sands’ spring / summer 2014 Show

Before White Sands’ spring / summer 2014 show was unveiled at Australian fashion week (MBFWA), designer Leah Madden hinted at what would be to come, noting that her favourite pieces were the “lingerie inspired corseted pieces, the new prints and patterns, and of course the return of the corals.” And with that, she summed up the elements that made the collection stand out, balancing it between femininity and functionality.

But as well as the soft tones and floral prints and lingerie-inspired cuts was another huge drawcard for the swim collection: it was flattering. Vintage inspired high waists and halternecks graced the runway alongside slicker, sportier cuts. It’s hard to imagine that any figure type couldn’t find something to flatter here.

On the runway the sexy swimwear was accompanied by just the right beauty look, described by Madden as “a very sexy, yet natural look – soft big hair, a dark eye with this fantastic nude lipstick.”

KappAhl Launches “Fifty Shades of Grey” Inspired Lingerie Line

Fifty Shades Lingerie – The author of the well-known “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy E.L. James has collaborated with Swedish clothing brand KappAhl to create a collection of sexy lingerie and intimate pieces that hit stores this month.We have a look at the campaign stars the super sexy Signe Nordstrom, in an outing of looks featuring the book’s significant symbols including a silver-grey tie, key necklace and black lace eye mask. “It has been incredibly exciting and interesting to be involved in the process, from the production of the concept through the design to the final collection,” says James about the collaboration.
